Ariel-X release debut single…

London four-piece Ariel-X formed in the summer of 2003, united by a healthy disdain for the current crop of slavishly retro bands. They deliver a brand of new-wave rock that combines the energy and sloganeering reminiscent of the early Manics, the melodic sensibilities of the Smashing Pumpkins and the abrasion of PJ Harvey.

The band have recently been working under the wing of producer Paul Corkett (Placebo, The Cure, Cooper Temple Clause etc.) recording their debut single ‘Mute’, which is scheduled for release on Mon 10 May, to coincide with a UK tour. The video for the single has already started rotation on the Sky music channel Scuzz, and is under consideration for play-listing on Kerrang TV, MTV2 and MTV Europe.

‘Mute’ will be released on May 10 on Noise Underground Records. (Cat: NU001).
