Hawksley Workman releases 'Treeful of Starling' on the 17th July 2006

Flamboyant and vaudevillian Canadian songwriter Hawksley Workman releases his fifth album ‘Treeful Of Starling’ in the UK this July.

A more introspective album than its predecessor, 2003's 'Lover/Fighter', ‘Treeful Of Starling’ was borne partly of frustration. Since ‘Lover/Fighter’, ensuing periods of recording have yielded 3 albums’ worth of material of widely ranging styles. Needing to refresh and refocus, a retreat from the cacophony of society saw Workman lock himself away with a rented piano and an 8-track to create this profound, reflective collection.

Hawksley plays a one-off date at London Borderline on June 1st to promote the album, where he'll be accompanied by his piano player, Mr. Lonely.
