Following a hugely successful UK tour and showcase at this year’s SXSW festival, The Hazey Janes will be releasing ‘Always There’ as the second single from their acclaimed debut album ‘Hotel Radio’.
The Dundee based four-piece serve up life-affirming indie-pop, pacey and rocky, with a respectful nod to both the past (Big Star, The Beach Boys) and the present (The Magic Numbers, Rilo Kiley). 'Always There’ was recorded with legendary Spanish producer Paco Loco (Josh Rouse/Golden Smog) at his studios in Cadiz. The track is two minutes of the most blissed out and carefully wrought psych influenced folk-pop you're likely to hear this side of The Byrds and The Beatles. You can almost feel the afternoon sun on your back as the gossamer 12-string guitar lines interlace with the delicate melody and shimmering backing harmonies. This is a guaranteed antidote to winter blues that will leave you aching for the long lazy days of summer.
The single is released on 15th May on Measured Records and is available in limited edition vinyl, CD and digital download formats. Tracklistings are as follows:
