The Yards -New single out august 9th on Global Warming Records

York-based five-piece The Yards are the new band from former Seahorses frontman Chris Helme. Hot on the heels of support dates with Arthur Lee And Love, they release a single ‘Only Myself To Blame’ as a first taste of their forthcoming debut album.

Starting life as Chris’ solo acoustic project, The Yards fully came into being when he got together with ex-Seahorses bassist Stu Fletcher, drummer John Miller, guitarist Chris Farrell and John Hargreaves on keyboards. They released an EP in the UK and Japan and have produced the album themselves.

‘Only Myself To Blame’ is a typically well-crafted Helme melody that showcases The Yards’ epic and romantic sound. The single will be released on CD format only and features additional tracks California and Moonbeams (Cat: WARM CD24).

The band will be playing at this year’s Guilford Festival and throughout the UK to promote the single and album.
